Infection Prevention & Control
This program was created to promote expertise in Florida’s ALF provider communities through approachable, non-clinician training grounded in authoritative infection infection prevention and control research.
Participation is open to all Florida ALFs at no cost,
with two options available:
1
TRAIN-THE-TRAINER
TRAINING
Six Train-the-Trainer modules include teaching instructions, case studies, and best practices for staff instruction.
Designated trainers completing the program will receive an ALF Infection Prevention and Control Leader Certificate of Completion and are then qualified to teach facility employees.
2
FACILITY-BASED TRAINING
Three one-hour training modules will cover case studies, best practices and additional information for implementation in communities.
Facilities that successfully complete the Facility-Based program will receive an ALF Infection Prevention and Control Certificate of Recognition.
Office Hours
FSLI will hold virtual Office Hours with certified training preventionists and experts specifically designed to review the learning modules, answer questions, provide information about the latest infection information, procedures, provide resources and mentor participants while enrolled in the program. Held monthly on the third Friday of the month at 10 a.m. ET.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
