The Florida Senior Living Institute is a 501(c)3 nonprofit association, created in 1984 to work on the continued development, growth and progress of Florida’s retirement housing industry.

In 2014, the Retirement Housing Council Board of Directors gifted the organization to Florida Senior Living Association. The council became the Florida Senior Living Institute and its mission was defined as supporting professionals working in senior living through training and professional development opportunities.
