About
Infection prevention and control programs in the United States have changed significantly since the mid-20th century. Much of this change was a result of the influence of government, regulatory, accrediting agencies and most recently the COVID-19 pandemic. While the pandemic accelerated the timelines for senior living to develop robust infection control plans, and senior living providers have refined their policies and programs for infection prevention, recent surveys conducted by PubMed revealed that 45% of assisted living communities have a pandemic plan and 41% had no pandemic influenza plan. Join FSLA Industry Partner WTW in this presentation to address the key concepts for infection control programs and review regulatory enforcement and annual pandemic risk assessment plans and interventions to mitigate future risks on infectious outbreaks.
